Munster Technological University is committed to the promotion of global environmental sustainability, climate justice and stability.
As educators we strive to bring a truly holistic awareness to all our students and staff, through education, training, encouragement, and support. We regularly engage with our local communities, national government agencies and industry and are members of various environmental groups. In our environmental and sustainability work our drive is to show leadership to our campus community and through research to bring forward innovative sustainability solutions.
Various departments and many courses focus learning on the UN SDG’s and ESG’s. Environmental, social, and governance is at the heart of what we do.
Our commitment has extended to developing a 10-year sustainability plan which will ensure we reach our targets as laid down, but this initiative will go further. Once initiated it will deliver and ensure all aspects of our day-to-day business and life on campus work towards a best practice circular economy model.
